Here is a list of what my faults are, and what my good points are. As I learn more about what to look for on a rabbit. I will add it on.
The Good points
(1) Good posing body, If their front feet align perfectly with their eyes, and if their back feet align with their thighs (2) Good width between the eyes, If when you look directly at the rabbits face and judging by their eyes and nose, If it make more of a stretched out triangle, they have good width between the eyes (3) Good ears, Meaning if their ears are short and "Teaspoony" and very round at the tips (4) Full HQ, Meaning that when you pose the rabbit and look at it from the side, their hind ends sit perfectly on the floor. (5) Thick boned, An easy way of determining this is looking at their front legs, If they look a lot like tree stumps and are very thick looking they are thick boned. (6) Good crown, Meaning that their crown is plaed nicely on their heads and their ear placements are close to their eyes. |
The Faults
(1) Bad posing body, If the front legs do not line up with the eyes, if they are not a poser at all, and if their back feet do not align with their thighs (2) Bad width between the eyes, If you are looking straight at the rabbits face and judging by the rabbits nose and eyes, If it makes a perfect Triangle, that means they have bad width between the eyes (3) Bad ears, Meaning if their ears are very long and non rounded at the tips. (4) Undercut Hindquarters, Meaning that when you pose the rabbit, and their hind end rounds underneath them, it means they have Undercut HQ. (5) Thin boned, An easy way of determining this is looking at the rabbits front legs, If their legs are skinny and thin looking they are think boned. (6) Slipped crown, Meaning when their crown is farther back on their head and their ear placement is not as good |
That is it for now, When I learn more I will put it on here. Another thing is, when I put my rabbit is show quality, it means it has 1 or none of the above faults. If they have 2 or 3 of the above faults I consider them Brood quality, and when the have 4-6 I consider them pet quality.
